Who Really Killed JFK? America’s Most Enduring Conspiracy Theory
Buckle up, truth-seekers—it’s time to revisit the murky waters of JFK’s assassination.
On November 22, 1963, at exactly 12:30 p.m., John F. Kennedy was fatally shot while driving through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas. A 10-month investigation concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. But if you think Americans took that answer at face value, think again. To this day, nearly 70% of people believe something more sinister was at play.
The Official Story… Or So They Say
According to the government, Oswald was the lone shooter. But let’s face it, this explanation has fueled a firestorm of alternative theories, each stranger than the last. There’s talk of multiple gunmen, a Mafia plot, and even the CIA’s involvement. Some suggest that Oswald was just a puppet, hired to cover for a bigger operation. A 2017 study from FiveThirtyEight found that only 33% of Americans actually buy the official story. The rest? They’re convinced we’re missing something huge.
The Speech JFK Never Delivered
Kennedy was supposed to deliver a powerful speech that day. It was a 36-page epic, filled with patriotic lines and promises. In it, he praised Texas’ alliance with the Democratic Party:
“One hundred and eighteen years ago last March, President John Tyler signed the Joint Resolution of Congress providing statehood for Texas… Texas and the Democratic Party have been linked in an indestructible alliance—for the promotion of prosperity, growth, and greatness for Texas and for America.”
The speech included a big flex on economic achievements like business profits climbing 43% in two years, and housing for the elderly quadrupling. And he didn’t stop there—JFK had big words on peace, unity, and America’s duty to lead the world.
“This country is moving and it must not stop… it is a time for courage and a time for challenge… Our duty is not merely the preservation of political power but the preservation of peace and freedom.”
It was bold, it was unifying, and it was cut short forever.
Conspiracy Theories and the Legacy of Secrecy
So, what’s the truth? With each theory that emerges, the lines between fact and fiction blur a bit more. Whether it’s whispers of government cover-ups or claims of hidden motives, the events of that fateful day have cemented themselves as America’s ultimate unsolved mystery. Was Oswald really alone? Or was there a whole team of hidden hands behind the trigger?
It’s been over 60 years since JFK’s assassination, and we still don’t have a clear answer. But one thing’s certain—when it comes to JFK, America’s fascination with conspiracy theories is here to stay. Until the truth comes out, this is Who the F!~k Knows, signing off.
For the curious and the skeptical, “Who the F!~k Knows?”
